All About Emma Claire: April 2012

It was such a beautiful evening last night we decided to go to the park for a bit! We wanted to take some pictures of Emma anyway :)

We went to the park that Colton & I got engaged at! It's been our favorite park ever since then :)

She makes this face a lot these days. It's so cute!!

Next Colton took Emma down the slides! We had her pose at the bottom of this one :)

Then we had her pose in the exact spot that Colton proposed!

He had a huge bouquet of flowers and a stuffed dog with the ring around it's neck (illuminated by a flashlight) sitting in the exact spot Emma is sitting in! :) Hard to believe it's been over 3 years since that night he proposed, and that our little bundle of joy is now sitting in that spot!

Walking back to the car so we could drive around to the other side and feed the ducks & geese! Riding on Daddy's shoulders is Emma's favorite way to travel :)

She was getting a bit sleepy, so she decided to lean down on Daddy's head & rest a bit.

Here's the video of us feeding the geese. It's not that great, I was trying to hold Emma & the video camera, keep Emma from grabbing the video camera, and dodge the geese all at the same time :)

We had to leave earlier than planned because the wind really picked up and the storm looked like it was about to hit any minute. We had a huge storm last night, with ping pong ball sized hail, tons of lightning & thunder, very high winds, and funnel clouds right over our house! We were glued to a local weather station on the TV the rest of the evening...the weather guy said that we dodged a bullet on that storm, since none of the funnel clouds actually touched down!! It was pretty scary! AND, my pretty flowers we just planted a couple of weeks ago were totally smashed & broken from the winds & hail, some even have their roots sticking out! I'm not sure any of them are going to survive :( But we did get a TON of rain, & that was much needed!

Friday night, Emma went to her first kiddie birthday party! One of Colton's co-worker's son turned 4! The party was at Jump 'n Jungle. Here's a pic of all the kids!

Emma made a new friend, Charlie! He's 8 months old. Emma was giving him a hug, but moved & did this the second I snapped the picture, of course!

She worked hard on her crawling since the floors were soft!

Charlie could already crawl, so she was watching him. At one point he crawled over & grabbed her cheeks & gave her a kiss on the forehead! It was soooo cute, but we weren't quite quick enough with the camera to catch it!

She was worn out! But she had such a fun time :)

Saturday we went to Old Navy to get some flip flops, but ended up finding Emma the cutest swimsuit everrr! Haha! Here's a couple pics from the dressing room at Old Navy. As you can tell, her favorite part of the outfit is the flip flops!

So, of course, we had to go by the store & get her a pool so she could try out her new swim suit! Parker & Mindy came over for dinner (Colton grilled out some yummy hamburgers), and then we all went outside for her first swim! Mindy took pictures for us :)

We got her a "splash pad" as well. She thought it was great, until we took her hat off and the water started hitting her in the face!

The pool is the perfect size for her! She even went forward on her tummy & splashed around in it!

Mommy made the mistake of seeing if she could hold herself up on the side of her crib...now she has figured out how to pull herself up on it all by herself! We set her down in her bed while we were doing some stuff in her room & turned around to find her up like this! Little stinker! Definitely time to lower her mattress! You can tell she's very proud of herself.
