Emma has been struggling to get rid of the stomach virus she & Colton came down with last weekend. We ended up taking her to the doctor on Tuesday, July 3rd, and she confirmed that Emma had a bad stomach virus that has been going around. The doctor said it takes a while for babies systems to get back on track after a virus like that, poor baby! We are sprinkling a probiotic supplement on her baby food once a day to help get her stomach back to normal. Emma is slowly getting better now. We did find out while we were there that Emma now weighs 19 lbs 6 oz! Such a big girl :) Emma also had her very first tooth break through on July 3rd (bottom front left), and her bottom front right is now on its way in! So we have had a pretty fussy baby lately between her being sick & teething at the same time. We have not been able to get a picture of that new tooth yet though, it is very elusive! :)
We had a pretty uneventful 4th of July around here, we hung out around the house all day, and then went to Mackenzie Park to see the Lubbock firework show that night. We took the dogs with us, which wasn't a very good idea, because they freaked out from all the noise from all the fireworks people were setting of in the parking lot we were in! Emma was asleep when we got there, but the noise from the fireworks woke her up, and she really enjoyed watching the show! We got home about 11:00 pm, & Emma was hyper from getting in a good nap before the fireworks, so we were up with her until about 12:30 am! But we all had a fun 4th :)
Here's some pictures we took the weekend before the 4th in my parents' backyard for our 4th of July card we sent out! She was such a good little model & so cooperative for these pictures! :)
Her bow Mommy made her!
While we were taking pictures, Emma stood up by herself! I was able to snap quite a few of her standing by herself, finally! I had the camera set on continuous shot for her little photo shoot so that I didn't miss the best pictures, and these are the best ones I got of her standing up and slowly sitting down :)
We hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July!
