Summer Fun

First of all, I tried to change up the blog background and picture, and for some reason it won't let me change the main picture (of Emma in her tutu)! I really wanted to put an updated picture there, but it keeps telling me I have reached the number of pictures I can upload and tells me I have to pay to upload a new one...not sure what that's about since that's the only picture I've ever had there and it will still let me upload pics in the blog posts! So if anyone knows how to make it let me change that picture, please let me know!

Colin (my cousin) came to visit us about a month ago (I know, we are very behind on the blog!), and we took him on a tour of Tech! It was also Emma's first time to be on Tech's campus! Here's some pics we took in front of the seal:

We also went to the Batteas family reunion (Colton's grandmother's family) in Roby! We had a lot of fun!

Emma Claire has a pretty hard life... :)

Here's a picture of Emma's 1st tooth that came in on July 3rd! You can see the bud of her newest tooth starting to come through right next to it. That tooth came through on July 18th, but I haven't been able to get another picture of her mouth! So her tooth count is now up to 2!

Lunch at Firehouse Subs

July 17th was Emma Claire's 9 month birthday!! We got to celebrate by going to the doctor for her 9 month check up! :P She didn't get shots this time, but they did have to prick her finger to do a blood test to make sure she wasn't anemic (I think that was what it was for anyway)! She did really well with it, she didn't even cry, but she did bleed a lot!

While cleaning some things out, I found one of my really old cell phones that doesn't work anymore, so it is now Emma's cell phone! She is very excited about having her very own phone :)

Emma got to start having table foods now. We started off with cheese! She loved it :)

We tried taking some 9 month pictures in her rocking chair, but it was a lot more difficult than it used to be! This girl is quite wiggly these days & not really into sitting still & posing :)

 Well the bag said that the yogurt drops were "no mess"...but they stained her face & hands red! Haha!

We got Emma a walker toy to help her learn to walk! She loves the toys that are on the front of it :)

Big G came to visit for the weekend a few weeks ago! We spent the day shopping and playing at the park!

A couple of weekends ago we went to the drive-in to see Ice Age 4 & Spiderman! Emma thought it was sooo much fun! She loved yelling out the back window! haha!

She wore herself out before too long though :)

Paxton is back to play!

Emma has gotten so good at standing up! In fact, she took her first step last week, on August 1st! She hasn't tried again since though.

One night Emma was very hungry! She ate all this for dinner!

The past 2 weekends we have gone to the lake with the Blounts (Paxton's family)! We have had so much fun, and even have gotten a few tan lines :)

Unfortunately our video camera is giving us troubles uploading our videos onto the computer at the moment...but I do have a couple of videos I combined into one of Emma walking with her walker toy that I took on my phone! They're just not as good of quality :)
