January 7th: Colton's 24th Birthday!!

Saturday the 7th was Colton's 24th birthday! We relaxed most of the day, and then had Jared & Hollie over for dinner. Colton grilled out steaks, and we had some green beans, "walruses" (what Becky always called croissant rolls), some Queso, and of course, strawberry birthday cake (Colton's favorite)!

January 3, 2012-January 6, 2012

Emma has started teething! She has been very fussy since Tuesday (January 3rd), and we have been giving her Tylenol and Hyland's teething tablets. We can feel a tooth under the surface of her gum on her bottom left side. We can't believe she is teething already!

Emma is chewing on everything! And drooling a ton too!

She'll probably be really mad at me for posting naked pictures of her later, but she is so cute! You can see her little fat rolls :) And she's chewing on one of her teething toys in the second picture.

Dinner last night (Thursday, Jan. 5th) at Olive Garden!

Laying in Daddy's spot in bed watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse this morning (Friday, Jan. 6th)! She has woken up between 8:00 & 8:30 every day this week and watched Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on Disney channel! She's so cute :)

Happy New Year 2012!!

My Mom came back to Lubbock with us after Christmas (on Monday) and went to Emma's doctor's appointment with us Tuesday morning (December 27th), and then we went shopping before heading back to Abilene that evening. Emma and I stayed the rest of the week in Abilene with my parents, and Colton came back on Friday when he got off work.

We took this picture when we were at the mall shopping after Emma's appointment. She got her first set of shots, which was hard on all of us! But she actually did very well. She got 5 vaccines, which had been combined down into 3 different shots, and an oral medication. Her poor little chubby legs were sore and she was a tiny bit fussier than usual, but she did great! She didn't even run a fever. 

At 10 weeks old, Emma Claire weighed 12 pounds and was 22 1/2 inches long! She is growing so fast, we can't believe it! She has now outgrown all of her newborn clothes, and is wearing 3 months (which she actually moved up to the week after Thanksgiving). The doctor was very impressed at her weight gain as well. She is already holding her head up on her own, which she started doing around Thanksgiving, and wants to be sitting up or held where she is standing up all the time now, and loves bouncing! As you can imagine, our arms stay pretty sore! Emma also loves to smile, and is starting to figure out how to laugh. We can't wait until she gets it down. She makes lots of noises and tries hard to talk to us.

New Year's Day 2012:


We went to lunch at Grandma & Grandpa Gragg's & celebrated Colton's 24th birthday, since we wouldn't be back again before his birthday.

We had a lot of fun celebrating both occasions! :) 

Then we relaxed the rest of the day, and my parents kept Emma so Colton and I could go on a date that night. We went to Chili's for dinner, and then did a bit of shopping.

We left the next day (Monday the 2nd) to go back to Lubbock. Before we left, we went by the cemetery  and took Emma to visit her Grandma Becky for the first time. It was the one year anniversary of her passing. Emma slept through it, but we still wanted to take her to visit.

I thought the Morris family might like to see a picture; I'm not sure if y'all have ever seen her marker. We sure do miss Becky, and wish that she could have been here to meet our beautiful Emma Claire!
