A Blizzard, & Emma's First Valentine's Day!!

We went to Abilene this past weekend for a visit. This was Emma ready to hit the road!

It snowed a ton on Sunday! We tried to drive back in it...

Parker & Mindy had been in Abilene also for Pioneer Drive's Disciple Now (they were group leaders), and we were all driving back together (Parker in his silver Ford Escape, Mindy in her tan Jeep Liberty, & us in Colton's red Ford Escape). We came across a particularly rough section just passed Snyder (about halfway back to Lubbock), and Mindy went flying off of this embankment!

Even though Mindy was fine and her car wasn't damaged at all, it was very scary for all of us! So we decided to stop for the night. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Snyder.

Mindy & Emma relaxing after a rough afternoon!

Emma definitely enjoyed our stay at the hotel :)

And this was what the roads looked like when we left Snyder the next day (Monday the 13th) at noon! Crazy Texas weather!!

Headed out to the mall with Mommy!

I made her pose for pictures to send out in our Valentine's. She's such a wonderful little model! :)

Colton took us to dinner at Applebees tonight for Valentine's Day! Emma has been a bit on the grumpy side all day today...I think she has a tooth that is just about to break through and it is really bothering her! Poor baby :(

We were able to convince her to smile a bit for a few pictures though!

I made Emma's entire Valentine's outfit (except for the socks)! While we were in Abilene last weekend, I went to Memaw's for a sewing lesson. She helped me add ruffles to Emma's outfit! I made Colton hold her up so I could get a picture of the ruffles I worked so hard to sew on! Haha :)

Sweet kisses from Daddy!

Colton got Emma & me flowers and Lady & the Tramp! We watched it after dinner :)
(Colton's present was a new TV for the living room that he bought right before the Super Bowl)

Here's a few random pictures from the past week:

We hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day like we did! :)

Emma's First Day of Church, & the Super Bowl!

Here's some more random pictures from the past week!

She has done a lot of relaxing & napping...

Emma is a great assistant chef! She loves helping Mommy cook dinner :)

She's done quite a bit of playing! (Excuse her nakedness--she had a spit up problem that day so we gave up on clothes!)

And of course Emma has been watching lots of Mickey Mouse Club House!

We went shopping! Emma is stylin' in her new sunglasses! :)

Okay, so they are a little big...but the smallest size they had was 0-2 years!

Emma has started rebelling against her bows...she keeps pulling them down around her neck! I guess she'd rather have a bow tie!!

Modeling her new coat & hat (it also came with mittens, but we didn't try putting those on)!

Going to the grocery store!

First day of church! The nursery workers said she did great! :) When we walked in to pick her up, she was laying in a crib with her feet up by her ears, had pulled off her right sock & had it laying by her head, had her dress in her mouth showing everyone her "panties," & her bow was off. She looked very pleased with her self. Obviously we have a bit of work to do with her...silly girl! :)

This was after we got home, but was similar to the position she was in at the nursery, which has become her favorite position lately! It does make diaper changes a bit easier though, haha!

Yup, she pulled her bow down again!

Not the best picture of me, but it's the best one we got of the two of us from her first day of church!

Then, last night, we had Jared, Parker, & Mindy over (Hollie was sick with strep!), and also some friends with their new baby, Paxton! He is 4 weeks old today, exactly 12 weeks younger than Emma. We didn't get a picture of them together though :/ We had lots of good food and a lot of fun watching the Super Bowl together! Of course the babies slept through the majority of it, though.

Emma wore her new outfit that Grandmommy & Granddaddy sent her! She looked very cute in it :) (It says "Cutest of them all")
