The Past Couple of Weeks...

I have been terrible about posting pictures the last couple of weeks, but I have been distracted by my new "toy" Colton bought me!!

Emma had her shots last Monday (2/20), so we had a rough rest of the week! She ran a fever, had some "tummy troubles," & was very cranky! Poor baby :( BUT, she is now 23.8" long, & weighs 15 lbs 2 oz! The doctor said she was perfectly healthy. Such a big girl :)

Emma also got to start rice cereal last Monday night! And she loved it! She was also trying to feed herself, little miss independent! She kept putting the spoon too far in her mouth and gagging herself though, goofball!

Emma is a musical prodigy, of course :)

She has been giving me lots of trouble with her naps the past week or two. She doesn't want to take a morning nap at all, and has been taking a couple of VERY short (like 20-30 minute) naps in the afternoon. Then she wants to go to bed for the night about 7:00. I have been trying very hard to change this, but so far it's been rough going!

We got to babysit baby Paxton one night! This was Emma waiting on him to arrive :)

We found a pack of Minnie Mouse onesies on sale at JCPenny, so of course we had to get them for her since she loves Mickey Mouse Club House so much!

Emma all ready for church a couple of weeks ago. I forgot to take a picture of her yesterday before church. We went to the class for family dedication yesterday (that was during Sunday school & the service) in preparation for her dedication that will be on April 22nd.

We had Parker & Mindy over for some pulled pork last weekend. Mindy loves scarves, and had Emma try hers on!

We are having a bit of a rough week this week so far as well. Emma started coughing a bit last night and her nose is very stuffy & runny! Hopefully she won't get any worse though!

 I {finally} uploaded all the videos off of our video camera! So this post is nothing but videos! :)

We bought our video camera right after we found out we were expecting. Then we used it to record our extended family when we told them we were expecting! (Please ignore me in ALL these videos...I sound so dumb!!)

Emma started eating rice cereal a week ago! This is a video of her first try at eating it! She loves it. We are going to start green beans this week! (This one's long too...)

Emma got to try white grape juice as well! I don't think she likes it very much...haha!

Lately Emma has become such a little "Chatty Cathy!" We can't get her to stop talking, haha! She says "Mama" & "Dada" a lot too, especially "Dada" lately!

A Blizzard, & Emma's First Valentine's Day!!

We went to Abilene this past weekend for a visit. This was Emma ready to hit the road!

It snowed a ton on Sunday! We tried to drive back in it...

Parker & Mindy had been in Abilene also for Pioneer Drive's Disciple Now (they were group leaders), and we were all driving back together (Parker in his silver Ford Escape, Mindy in her tan Jeep Liberty, & us in Colton's red Ford Escape). We came across a particularly rough section just passed Snyder (about halfway back to Lubbock), and Mindy went flying off of this embankment!

Even though Mindy was fine and her car wasn't damaged at all, it was very scary for all of us! So we decided to stop for the night. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Snyder.

Colton took us to dinner at Applebees tonight for Valentine's Day! Emma has been a bit on the grumpy side all day today...I think she has a tooth that is just about to break through and it is really bothering her! Poor baby :(

We were able to convince her to smile a bit for a few pictures though!

I made Emma's entire Valentine's outfit (except for the socks)! While we were in Abilene last weekend, I went to Memaw's for a sewing lesson. She helped me add ruffles to Emma's outfit! I made Colton hold her up so I could get a picture of the ruffles I worked so hard to sew on! Haha :)
